March Cabinet Meeting
Report for District Convention 2015
Our members only need to watch the evening news or read the newspaper to see the need to be prepared for emergency actions in our world. Whether it is weather that is out of control or man made disasters that are affecting our neighbors somewhere in the world, the need for action is an every day occurrence.
The ALERT committee is relatively new to the Lions clubs so we are currently assisting our clubs as our mission is defined and focused in each club. We know we don't have all the answers to questions of how to begin to prepare but by sharing our own experiences we can begin to assist each club as they define their own plans for action.
We have prepared a program to explain the ALERT concepts and steps to develop club responses and have presented it to several clubs in the district. At this time there are plans in development in those clubs to be ready and organized to respond when the need is great. We will continue to work with those clubs that are working to define their own actions in their neighborhoods.
