October Cabinet Meeting
Region 2 Zone 1 Report

September 25th 2014

On August 4th I conducted my first Zone meeting. The Presidents and Secretaries of all 4 clubs attended it. The membership chairs were in attendance from 3 clubs. We had a great discussion about Lions related topics and the activities that each club was having. All members present actively participated.

I visited Waunakee Lions club on August 27th and Token Creek Lions on September 9th. At both meeting I discussed the Leadership training opportunities in Lions. I urged the attendees to look at the courses available on the LCI website and take some on-line courses in their spare time. At both clubs I noticed that there was difficulty getting volunteers for their service and fundraising projects. Also there is a need for new members.

I have scheduled my club visit for DeForest Lions on October 13th and Sun Prairie Lions on October 23rd.

I also attend the Sun Prairie Blues fest. Volunteered for the Token Creek Lions Club at Taste of Madison.

The next Region 2 Zone 1 meeting is at the Rodeside Grill on October 14th.
