August Cabinet Meeting
AUGUST WISCONSIN LIONS MISSIONS REPORT

The annual summer meeting of the Wisconsin Lions Missions will be held at Marty's Voyager Inn in Reedsburg on Sunday, August 9, at 9:40AM.

There are three Missions being planned at this time. The first will be to Haiti the first week of December. This mission is in conjunction with a medical mission. Lions will do the eye glass component and a church group from Northern Wisconsin does the medical part.

The second mission is to Grenada, Nicaragua the last week of February, and will be staffed by 35 Wisconsin Lions. This is the fifth year in Nicaragua and will distribute about 4000 pairs of glasses.

The third mission is a new one to El Salvador. Details have not been finalized but more information will be available at the August 9 meeting. There is a need for three or four volunteers for the Haiti and El Salvador missions. The Nicaragua mission has been filled.

Mexico is still off limits; however, we still take school, medical and other items to McAllen, Texas in February to be distributed in Mexico. If Clubs in the District have such items, contact me at (608) 846-4571 and I can arrange to get them picked up.
