January Cabinet Meeting
GMT Report
EXTENSION - we are chartering a new club February 2, 2016. This club is called the Winners Circle and is comprised of Special Olympians and their families. See attached. We have also chartered a Leo Club in Sun Prairie, and two others are in the works.
MEMBERSHIP - we are currently plus 18 members. Numbers for December 2015 were 2226 but compared to December 2014 we are down 18 members for the same time frame. We dropped a lot of members in the second half of the year. This year we need to break that trend. Our members have served 198,195 people and put in 34,154 hours serving others.
CEP - we have one club working on the process with two other clubs still implementing their suggestions. We still need a chair for this.
RETENTION - we are offering a seminar at district convention on retention. Chair PDG Rob Sherman will be offering information about sponsors and mentors and how to use them to retain members. At this time our drops for the year are 122.
ORIENTATION - Chair Jim Fletcher has reworked the orientation and is available for presentations.
WOMEN AND FAMILY - we have 520 women Lions which is where we were at the end of June. We have increased family membership by 6 members. These are areas we need to continue to work on.
AWARDS AND RECOGNITION - Lion of the Year and Lion Club of the Year nominations are due February 5th. We will be recognizing all members nominated for the Lion of the Year at district convention as well as announcing the winners.
Yours in Lionism,
Tammy Rockenbach
