October 11, 2015 Cabinet Meeting
District Governor Report
It has been an exciting first 3 months of the year. As of October 1, 2015 we have visited 12 Lions Clubs and 1 Lioness Club. As each one of us is different each one of the clubs is also different. I have been recognizing each of the club members as well as all of the Clubs Officers and District Cabinet members for each club. With the handing out of Club Officer Gifts as I do my club visits it will change the way that the District Convention will be run as well. I know that 1st VDG Eric and 2nd VDG Jodi will be handing out their Club Officers gifts as they do their visits as well over the next 2 years.
Lion/Lioness Cinda and I also attended the USA/Canada Forum in Grand Rapids MI at the end of September. I would recommend that every club should see its way to send a club member to this. It is a great learning experience and exchange of ideas. The Forum showed that all of the work of present and past district leaders has left their mark on the district because in some cases we are ahead of the curve in a lot of districts.
We still have the UW Platteville Campus Club with no members and the Madison Evening Club with only 7 members.
I would like to see all 57 clubs participate in the Centennial Celebration for the 2015-2016 year.
