Long Range Planning Report

At the 2017 International Convention, Lions Clubs International introduced the Global Action Team which at the district level has the District Governor as the Global Action Team Coordinator, District Global Leadership Team Coordinator, District Global Membership Team Coordinator and the new Global Service Team Coordinator reporting to the District Governor. Long range planning will look at this new structure to determine if we as a district want to add this structure to the MD27-D1 cabinet and how it will impact other committees on the cabinet. A second possible item to explore is how we can line up Zone Chairs for a limited period of time in the position and how to get them to consider moving up into the 2nd VDG, 1st VDG and DG ranks so that we have a multi-year succession plan in place for these positions.
