LCIF is celebrating its 50 th Anniversary.

In 1968 Lions Club International Foundation was formed to sustain Lions' humanitarian efforts. There are four key areas of sight, youth, disaster relief and other humanitarian efforts.

LCIF has completion of its commitment to Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance. Through the generosity of Lions, LCIF has donated $30 million to fight the spread of measles around the world. Matching funds from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and the UK Department for International Development doubled the impact of that investment. Millions of children around the world will benefit, and that's truly something to celebrate.

Thirty-five clubs in MD27-D1 have donated $24,737.08 to LCIF, which is a 60.34% increase over last year at this time!

There are 22 clubs that have given enough donations to LCIF to name a Melvin Jones Fellow.

There have been 10 Melvin Jones Fellowships given out since July 2017.
