D27-D1 Diabetes Report

The Diabetes Awareness committee was busy this month with several programs and club requests. We sent out two Diabetes Awareness kits to the Shullsburg and Marshall Lions who requested the materials for Diabetes Awareness display tables at their respective wellness fairs this month. Lions Bob Faliveno, Becky Faliveno and Dale Boness took part in the annual JDRF One Walk at the UW Children's Hospital in Madison on Sunday Sept. 24th .

Lion Becky Faliveno is scheduled to make a presentation at the Cross Plain Lions club meeting on Nov. 2. Lion Winnie Jentz will be doing a Diabetes presentation at the Intermediate Women's Club of Beloit scheduled for March. She has also requested, and received, monies from the district for a table and booth to be used at a Senior Fair later this month.

Lions Bob and Becky Faliveno and Lion John Dickson will be attending the Diabetes Focus Group at Lions Camp on October 28th. They will be bringing a representative of the Wisconsin chapter of JDRF with them to speak to the group.
