I attended the Sun Prairie Lions meeting on July 12 to install officers.

Sun Prairie suffered a tragic event July 10, with the gas explosion taking the life of a fire fighter, and destroying homes and businesses. These people only have the clothes on their back. They need everything from clothing, food and toiletries, to help with security deposits on new homes.

There are many ways we can assist the Sun Prairie Lions. On July 13 th , the Lions attended the Resource Action Event at the Sun Prairie High School, and gave out gift cards to about 50 households that have been affected. The club has committed to doing matching pledges up to $10,000. How can you donate money for these families? You can go to their website, http://e-clubhouse.org/sites/sun_prairie/, and click on the donate button. This donation will be put on your credit card and gives them immediate access to monies to purchase gift cards. You can also mail a check to Sun Prairie Lions Club, PO Box 242, Sun Prairie, WI 53590.
