LCIF Report
Lions Club International Foundation is embarking on Campaign 100. This campaign was launched at the Lions International Convention in Las Vegas recently. This donation raising effort marks the 50th year of LCIF and seeks to raise additional grant funds for disaster relief, sight and childhood cancer. In the last Lionist year, LCIF gave grants totaling $150,000 to our MD.
Campaign 100 includes all donations from last year and the next three years including individual and corporate donations. It is important to build the Foundations resources. Less than 3 percent of all U.S. Lions donate to LCIF.
The LCIF goal for each District in three years for D1 is $561,000 based on 2,244 members. This is a large number but clubs that have not donated in the past should be asked to do so. All of us should promote Campaign 100 on club visits and contacts.
The goal of LCIF is to help over 200 million people per year by 2021.
I will have more information in the future including pamphlets and fliers.
