Building On Our Success
District Cabinet Meeting - Sunday, October 14, 2018
District Governor Report
The first four months of my year as your District Governor have been very busy and I am enjoying it. Since our last Cabinet meeting on August 5th I have attended six club meeting and and a few fund raisers and club Anniversaries. I went to the USA/Canada Forum in Columbus Ohio on September 20-22. This was the fourth year in a row that I had the opportunity to attend and I thought this was the best one. A lot of great seminars and speakers, but the best part is getting to know other Lions from around the USA and Canada.
The flood that happened on August 20th from the Westside of Madison, Middleton, Cross Plains, Black Earth and Mazomanie did a large amount of damage. I was able to get a $10,000.00 Emergency Grant from LCIF to help Individuals with cleaning supplies, food and clothing. A huge loss for many people that lost their homes, or had major damage to them. Many clubs also donated to our District Emergency Fund and we will be helping more people with that money also.
I look forward to seeing many of you at the Cabinet meeting on Sunday 10-14 and I will be at all six regions over the next two weeks.
