Building On Our Success
District Cabinet Meeting - Sunday, October 14, 2018
Global Leadership Team Report
During the first Quarter of this year we had all zone chairs present at the zone chair training in August. We are off to a great start!
As mentioned previously, we had only 85% attendance by someone from the 58 clubs at spring officer training, in five areas. We have spoken with some of the non-attending clubs for officer training and will continue to approach others to complete some form of training. All are encouraged to go to our District website to complete.
For the second year we attended the USA/Canada Forum. This was a great experience that offered 1900 Lions opportunities to learn more about Lionism and specific subjects. A great turnout occurred for the new LCI website peek preview and the ease of navigating it, as well as the interaction with the new MY LION app. Many will be surprised and impressed at the ease of operating this when it becomes available this calendar year. There will be a review of this at these October Regional Meetings.
We attended the MD 27 Global Action Team Meeting recently in Plover Wisconsin. Lions in attendance shared ideas and ways to improve leadership, membership, and service areas. The afternoon session was a course on Guiding Lions and how to complete certification.
We have organized and will attend the six October regional meetings. We are still waiting for responses from some areas on the planned attendance. Please have your clubs contact their zone chairs.
Respectfully submitted,
Mike Keller
