District Cabinet Meeting - Sunday, January 19, 2020
LCIF Report

Campaign 100 is now 18 months into its three years of fulfilling the $300 million worldwide goal for Lions Clubs International Foundation. In Constitutional Area 1, we have reached 33% of that goal of $55,800,000. Past International President Joe Preston has announced a Model Club Challenge for CA 1.

The challenge is to secure four more Model Clubs by June 1, 2020. A Model Lions Club commits to raising $500 per member by June 30, 2022. Qualifying Model Clubs will get recognition in many forms.

In District 27-D1, we have a cumulative donation so far in Campaign 100 of $96,477. In the current fiscal year, LCIF received $19,661 in donations this fiscal year, of that, $5,920 are individual donations from 27-D1.

According to LCIF, five Lions Clubs in our district have the potential of becoming Model Clubs, based on their past history of LCIF donations. Each of them should be approached strategically and explore their commitment.

In our club visits, DG Conrad, 1st VDG Tammy and I talk about Campaign 100 and its importance to Lions Clubs and the communities they serve. We ask them to donate as a Club and as an individual.

A message from LCIF was distributed recently to all Clubs in our district suggesting fundraising activities in part to celebrate the birthday of Lion Melvin Jones this past week.

Respectfully submitted,
Lion Bill Clausius
2nd VDG
