1st VDG Report Report

Clubs are busy with many fundraisers and service projects. I was fortunate to attend the Deerfield Chili Festival this past weekend. The club took this over from the community 6 years ago, and the festival has grown as well as the club. Visibility in the community was a key for gaining new members.

So far this year, I have attended 5 club visits, with 4 more scheduled this month. I only have three clubs to still schedule.

Region meetings will occur at the end of this month, and I will be presenting on the Long-Range Planning surveys that we are asking all club members to complete. Time to find out what the members want from the district and the Lions organization.

This year, I have had several clubs ask me to present on topics of concern for them. This is new and challenging, but I hope that we are creating better clubs. I hope to put together a short presentation on how to recruit members. Wish me luck.
