District Cabinet Meeting - Sunday, January 10, 2021
Global Service Team Report
I attended the MD27 GST meetings in October, November, and December. Topics included 100 Acts of Kindness, incomplete service reports in MyLion and clubs that have not reported for 7 plus month. Clubs with incomplete service projects were contacted and were completed or duplicates deleted. D1 has 7 clubs who have not reported for 7 or more months. They have all be contacted and follow-ups scheduled for January.
Reporting on MyLion is improving. 51 clubs have filed reports on MyLion this year which is significantly better than the other Districts. Through December, 902 service activities have been reported with 152,703 people served.
The Global Action team has been working on the No Lion Left Behind Forums and January Region Meeting. See the GMT report for the details.
With hunger being a huge issue during the pandemic, clubs are asked to hold food drives during January-March to benefit their local food pantries as part of the District wide project “From Your Pantry to Ours.”
In observance of the State Centennial, 100 Acts of Kindness (Service Project Ideas) are being sent to all Lions. Acts of Kindness are suggestions and Lions can do individually or as a club.
Respectively submitted,
Bruce Voight
27-D1 GST Coordinator
