District Cabinet Meeting - Sunday, January 22, 2023
Region 2, Zone 2 Cabinet Report

My zone is overall good. The only issue that I know of is with UW Madison Campus Club; I recently sent an email to the Execteam.

On a more positive note, four of our clubs worked together on a new Diabetes Awareness Project with the Madison Area HyVee Grocery Stores in November (Awareness Month). Their Registered Dietician approached Madison West Club when we worked the Stuff the Bus project at their stores. District Diabetes Awareness Chair Jill Kietzke authorized spending $1000 to help in the cost of the A1C tests that they offered and we served 64 customers/employees. Lions from four of our clubs staffed a welcome table six days to approach the customers asking if they wanted to be tested (with great results).

We are now working on the Diabetes Awareness Scavenger Hunt that will be at the District Convention in March; Madison Evening Club is taking the lead with help from my other clubs, along with Chair Jill.

I will be planning a Zone meeting for February.
