27D1 Vision Committee Report

We are moving along into 2023 with a good number of Vision Screenings being reported and more are still scheduled this spring. We are currently just over 9,000 screened for 2022-23. I have received the S12R camera that will replace the District S09 camera that is housed with Lion Tony Sobczak in Deforest. We have also received 2 Plusoptix P12 printers for the McFarland and the Lancaster district cameras.

27D1 Vision Committee continues to working with WLF to establish guidelines for training and certification for vision screeners needing certification. Keith Mueller is the new Project Director at WLF and will be our contact there for Vision Screening information and reports. They are creating some new forms that reflect some changes in the reporting procedures and details in our reports. Please continue to send your screening reports to Scott Grover and he will relay them to Keith.

We are implementing the new Vision Screening procedures and starting to schedule training sessions at our convention on March 10th along with Lions Clubs that are unable to attend the convention. Please contact me or PID Peter Cerniglia to schedule a training session.

Please continue to setup your regular vision screenings and look for new Daycares and schools that may have been overlooked in the past. Thank you for all of your efforts and continued service to your communities.

Respectfully submitted,
Lion Milo Parker
