MD27-D1 District Leo's Report

I have reached out to all the Leo advisors and asked that they let me know ASAP if their Leo's would be able to attend District Convention. At this time, I have only gotten a few responses.

-Marshall and Iowa-Grant will not be in attendance as it is their spring break.

-The Waunakee Club does not have a Leos program at this time and there is no plan for the near future. Their students have many other club opportunities.

-Deforest does not have an active club.

-Potosi is trying to get their Leo's started back up.

-Cassville is trying to start a Leo's club.

-I have not heard from Janesville to see if they are up and going with Janesville Craig and the Wisconsin School for the Blind and Visually Impaired.

We may need to pivot the student Leos portion of District Convention to a meeting with the advisors.

The advisors are having a lot of trouble working with the new Lions webpage. Hoping to meet with Matt Browne from Marshall as he has been able to enter Leo information, and put together a “how to“ to be sent out. I have requested that the advisors let me know of projects or events their Leos are doing/having so we can share those out on the District Facebook page. This would be helpful for all clubs and encourage members to attend if able. Marshall Leos recently did a holiday dinner which they served around 160 meals to the community free of charge. This was nearly triple of what they had last year.
