Minutes
Call to Order at 11:00 a.m. by DG Bill Clausius thanked everyone for coming.
There were 32 Lions in attendance plus 11 on Zoom.

Words of Wisdom by 2nd VDG Jeff. “What Does Your Fortune Cookie Say”
The person with the most keys opens the most doors. Moral of the story is to continue to collect keys so that you can open more doors!
Approval of Minutes CS Ron Wright reported that the minutes from the previous cabinet meeting had been e-mailed to everyone. There were no questions. Motion by PDG Conrad with a 2nd by PDG Randy Harrison to approve minutes. Motion carried.
Treasurer's report CT Bill Severson presented the current financial statements. Motion made by PDG Eric H. with a second by Lion Adam C. to approve Treasurer's report. There were no questions. Motion carried.
District Governor Report - DG Bill Clausius recognized IPDG Tammy for being named Council of Governors Chair. Reported that our district is down 23 members at present and that our goal is to be plus 60 members. DG Bill emphasized that all clubs should be getting ready for their elections and should be getting their budgets for 2022-23 prepared.
District convention is March 11 and 12, 2022 at Chula Vista in WI Dells.
Cabinet meeting will be Friday March 11th at 7:00 p.m.
Committee Reports
Global Membership Team Lion Adam submitted report. Most zone meetings are scheduled for early February. Lion Adam requested funds for purchasing 2 new projectors for the district. Motion was made by Lion Adam, 2nd by PDG Phil for $1400. After discussion motion was amended to increase the amount to $1600 to cover any taxes or incidentals that may be needed. Motion passed unanimously.
Global Service Team Lion Steve P. submitted report. Recapped the Stuff the Bus program, Nextrex, Service Project of the Year and My Lion. Guiding Lions - CS Ron Wright reports 1 request for a guiding Lion since last meeting. Lion Mike Keller has been assigned to the Winners Circle Club. Report submitted.
LEBW Report submitted. Lion Rick Daluge said LEBW is looking for a community relations person. It is a full time paid position.
Restoring Hope Transplant House IPDG Tammy reports they are still raising funds. PDG Pete presented her with a check for $1000.
Wisconsin Lions Foundation report was submitted by Lion Laurie and PDG John. Deer hide collection was very successful. Reminder to remove the tails as they are more valuable.
Vision Screening Lion Milo Parker report was sent out. Lion Milo requested funds in the amount of $743 to purchase a new tent. Motion was made by Lion Milo, seconded by PDG Eric. After further discussion motion was amended to increase amount to $1000. Motion passed unanimously. Also reported that the Madison School District has contacted us about doing screening. Will continue to follow up with them. PDG Rick asked if it was possible to perhaps screen kids from WI Dells at convention since we no longer have a club in the Dells. Will look into.
LCIF Lion Dan Marshall report was sent out.
Extension PDG Randy Harrison report was sent out. Belleville has been put on the back burner and PDG Randy said Lodi will now be concentrated on. Was asked about Clinton and PDG Randy reports he feels that we should focus on Lodi.
USA/Canada Forum IPDG Tammy submitted report. Said get your passport ready as 2022 forum will be in Calgary on September 15 to 17.
Leo Report Lion Guy Gryphon reported that a couple of LEO Clubs have been doing service projects. Lancaster and DeForest were mentioned. Will have Lion Carl Olson do a presentation at convention for LEOS.
Diabetes Lion Jill K. submitted report.
Environmental Lion Bill Baker updated us on the NexTrex program. Stated that we have had several clubs sign up and thanked those who have. Said he is available to visit if any clubs have questions.
Conventions Lion PDG John Jenson. District convention is March 11 and 12, 2022 in WI Dells at Chula Vista. Planning is going well. Lions have begun to register (34 thus far). We have a full slate of candidates for district office:

2nd VDG Lion Ron Wright
One contested race between PDG Randy Harrison and Lion Jim Fletcher for WLF Director. Get your ads in to Lion Justin Wilson by February 14th . Reminded that clubs are asked to bring a $25 item to be used for the raffle.
Youth Exchange Lion Ben August submitted report. Filled us in on the changes for this year but that Youth Exchange is planning to go ahead. Looking for host families. If you are interested please contact Lion Ben.
Announcements and Recognition
IPDG Tammy presented PDG Conrad with an award for his work with the Lioness to Lions conversion.
PDG Rick Daluge presented IPDG Tammy with a Knight of Sight Award for her donation to LEBW.
IPDG Tammy reports we will be doing a service project at convention on Friday afternoon stuffing 100 bags for health care workers. If interested in helping or donating please let IPDG Tammy know.
PDG Randy H. reported on Lions Curling event in Waupaca on January 7 - 9.
Our district was well represented.
Monticello Lions will be hosting a fisheree in February.
Lion Jim Fletcher reported on District bowling which was held on January 29, 2022. 14 teams participated.
Next cabinet meeting will be in March 11, 2022 at Chula Vista Resort WI Dells.
